The economy...

It's hard not to feel guilty for Sean and I to not have YET been horribly effected by the economy. But... then again, I know people around me, bring effected. My sister has a house loan with an APR, and she was already forgiven for being behind on it. Now she is behind again. BUT... she also just bought a new TV and entertainment center. Now, I am mad. On one hand, she isn't making ends meat, but really she is just spending when she should be paying a bill. So I guess it is an issue in their marriage, since I am sure he is spending and not paying the mortgage. UGH!! Do I have the right to say something. Sure! But, how do you tell your sister that she is missing something. UGH!

Back to the economy. So, I hear that Obama wants to help mortgages that are behind, have APR's, are in foreclosure, etc. BUT... that leaves out those like Sean and I. It says "no, you can pay for your home, even though a BANK told you it is worth more than you ever hope it to be now. YOU and your family are STUCK and simply don't need our help." This makes me ANGRY! I know that I have two incomes, can currently make the payment and my FICO score is nearly 700. BUT... I worked damn hard to keep it there. Declared bankruptcy a little over 7 years ago, and worked our butts off to provide what we do have. So, now I am being told I am stuck with what I got.

I think that the government should give each adult (LEGAL adult) a certain $$ amount. Each person then has the right to buy a car, house, get out of debt, rent a roof, buy food, or just shop and spend the $$. Wouldn't that help?? Wouldn't that be better than giving money to the auto industry, the banks, etc. Those places would still get money, it would be simply be shared and in the approval of each american.
I wonder what would happen if every government employee was told that they were being given a 2% pay decrease (or what ever #). Every car CEO be told "you screwed up, and here's your pink slip, we are hiring someone at a lower pay, to do your job better"
I know that I am MAD, frustrated, and completely have little hope and currently NO trust in my kids future. I don't know what to do.
There are families needing immediately help, not 3 months from now... not having to wait for a stimulus package to effect things.
I also know that a simple solution to fix some things... is to stop building more. We are currently getting more MAX lines. (train like mass transit) Yet the bus company is looking at which lines they will stop service on, because the budget is falling short. How can you be spending more, and yet making cuts to services already here?
The whole thing is MIS-MANAGEMENT. No simple answer, but yet the dumb answers being brought forward, or just STUPID.

I know... I am simple minded. Food, shelter, schools, and love. (through in a pet or two and my camera, and I am good)
Everything will never be equal, but I think we can all do a better job striving for it.
