Following a Dream!!

Have you ever thought about dreams? Not the ones that come to you while sleeping, but the ones that you find yourself thinking about in everyday life. For me... it has always been to get a camping trailer and the fun that would be included. My grandparents generation, were always in trailers and RV's when we went to family reunions in the state campground. My family has always been tent campers... until just recently, when my parents bought their first trailer. They bought one of the smaller, lite-weight trailers; that my dad can barely stand in, but can move about himself. It fits them, but isn't for us and our kids.
Sean and I have both talked about getting a trailer, for years. Well... we went to get one last year, but found it just out of the budget.
So... skip to current time and through a year of trying to house remodeling, a house on the market, a dream of moving to Texas (from Oregon), and WOW! What a ride!
Well... the house didn't sell, we didn't move... but I have accepted some of our dreams were not the right path for us to take. I find it interesting, how sometimes I just feel things. It feels right, or it feels wrong. This feels like the one... that sort of thing. I kept feeling like I really wanted to be moving, but yet knew it wasn't the time. Well... God showed me, huh!
So, we have now refinanced the house & we have BOUGHT our camping trailer!!!! Yep, got the bank OK this morning. WOOHOO!! Just finished putting insurance on it. WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now... the down side, is we will be working to pay bills for 6 yrs. BUT... I don't think I have ever felt more calm about a big purchase, in my life. And we have made a few now.
I will be saying some thank yous in prayers tonight. :)

Bunk Beds

Well... we decided that the idea of taking the boys out of their bunkbeds, was a bad idea. The two seperate beds takes up so much space in their room. So, we checked out a few places online, and found nothing in our budget. LOL
We then checked out a few places in town, and still found wobbly sets that are too small for our older boys. They are 10 and 13 now. Then a salesman from one place told us about Levitz... which is "going out of business". We laughed because we live just blocks from Levitz and didn't think to go look there. Funny how you see stores everyday and forget them. :)
So, we went to look. The 30%-70% sale was now 50%-70%!! Woohoo!
And SOLID wood items!!! So, we found three sets of ends to one bunk bed set (well... that won't do). We were browsing more and found a full set. We got them a chocolate brown (mocha something color) set. $660 regular priced, on sale for $330!!!
WOOHOO!!
I will post pics on Tuesday evening, after we get them put together. :)

Travel Trailer in process!

We are waiting on a call from the dealer... to tell us if we get the financing on this travel trailer. It will be our first one, and such a dream come true for Dh and I. Ugh... waiting is getting harder and harder. Cross your fingers everyone. Hee-hee!

Am I the only parent that thinks kids need to wear a winter coat, when it is below freezing outside? Oh my gosh... my son is gonna drive me insane. He is 13 next week. I know he is struggling with "life" as a middle schooler, teenager, etc. I really do remember how it was. It wasn't all that long ago for me. I just don't get why

So sad... the poor little boy drowned in the family pool. Prayer requests for the family. I know I remember these radio show hosts, from this area... long ago, maybe in the early 90's. Before they moved on to bigger stations. :(

Tired

I feel exhausted! No reason really, just tired. LOL
Jarod's birthday was fun. He decided to go to Hometown Buffet for his birthday dinner. We invited both sets of Grandparents and the aunts n uncles, cousins, and all. I enjoyed going out to eat and not having to clean my house for relatives to come party. Hee-hee!
We did spend yesterday cleaning, since the kids had the day off and time on their hands. I went to work for a few hours and kept the kiddos busy with a chore list. Then came home to help them finish it up. :)
Tonight DH and I went to the mall and had a quick bite to eat before shopping for Jordan's birthday; which is Feb. 2nd. We found a few 70% off deals at JCPenney's, but not much else. Shopping for a teenager isn't easy LOL. He will be 13 this year.
Anyhoo... Hope you all are having a good week, and staying warm (near 25 overnight here).

It's SNOWING! Ok, so it is only tiny flurries... but it is pretty. My poor yard is so bare and dead. LOL

Yesterday was perfect timing to go to BigLots. I found a great new comforter for my bed! It even matches our headboard that dh and I made a few years ago. It will be nice and toasty to sleep in tonight. I even put on a new set of flannel sheets last night too. I can't wait to sleep tonight. :)

Jordan and I found a fun new game to play... you can play a free demo version for hours. LOL
http://download-games.pogo.com/deluxe.aspx?refid=22&code=113932933
Dh was nice enough to bring home the flu from his parents house, and we have been battling it for three days now. Just him and I, not the kids YET. Thank God my kids are generally extremely well kids, even if we get illness in the house. Dh and I both grew up that way too. Only the past year has caught us sick more often.
I made it to work yesterday and only left about 30 minutes early, when the room was spinning and I got a migraine. I was up for HOURS last night, trying to fall asleep with my head pounding. I woke this morning about 10am... and pulled myself from bed to head to Starbucks. LOL I got an extra shot, which I swear tasted like 3 extras.
I made it through Target and Walmart... snagging a great deal on a rechargeable Coleman lantern (dh has asked for, for 5 years+). Regular $40 and found for $22 on clearance. :)
My house is looking like the kid tornado hit... ok so that is exactly what happened... and I couldn't care less. LOL
I have to clean it before Saturday when I have the families over for Jarod's 10th birthday. Then Jordan turns 13 in two more weeks. WHEN did THAT happen. LOL

The flu

Well... Dh went to his parents house last week, and brought home the flu with him. I have had nausea and a migraine for nearly three days now. I made it through work yesterday, and only left 30 minutes early. My head spinning horribly. I then was up this morning for about 4 HOURS trying to get to back to sleep with my head pounding. I woke up about 10am and went to Target, stopping by Target for a mocha with an extra shot. I swear they put 3 extras shots in it, and the sugar made me a little sick. BUT... it cured my headache by 99%. Wooohoo! LOL

Jordan and I played a fun game on POGO.com today...

Coupon Clipping

I have a new addiction. Coupon clipping. Not from the newspaper (because the Oregonian doesn't seem to be able to deliver LOL). But, online printing and clipping. Target seems to be the best in my area, when it comes to accepting computer printed coupons. But, I have also used them at Petsmart, Walmart, and various other stores... as long as I use quality printing when I print; so the coupon will scan on store scanners. :)
Alright, off to google more. Enjoy your day!

baby shower

So here my first "Baby buggy" cake, made for my friends Baby Shower this past weekend. The shower was a surprise, and it went great!!
Today we FINALLY got the appraisal back on our house. Well... the crappy housing market, and this even more crappy neighborhood brought our house in at $40,000 LESS than we had hoped. UGH! But, we can still refinance and pay off one of two credit cards. Maybe a little of the 2nd card. We won't know for a month or two, if we can still purchase the RV trailer we had hoped to buy this spring. UGH!! Again.
I swear that the hardest part of life for me, is to live so near great real estate and know just how much we should have looked around before buying our first house. Will we ever get out of this house and into a bigger better house and nieghborhood.
Oh well... I guess I just have to trust that some higher power really has our best in mind... and this is all the road we are supposed to be traveling. :)

It's been a good day. I got a ton of stuff done at work. I need to go to the store tonight to get supplies to make a baby shower cake. :)
I also got an email that told me I get a SENSEO coffee maker and supplies for it, for just $15 shipping. Woohoo! I hate making a whole pot of coffee, and wasting the extra coffee grounds and coffee. I never think to make a partial pot. Too hard to figure out. LOL
Now I just have to watch for the UPS guy, and hope my neighbors leave my package alone.
We are rehoming one of our cats. It will be sad to see her go, but she is not peeing in the litter if one of my other 2, goes in it. @@
Atleast it isn't on the carpet, but it is on any towel or clothing, etc. left in her reach. Which her reach can be quite tall. UGH!
I made a spiral ham for dinner tonight. It was the first I have cooked. I normally just get the CHUNK of ham. LOL
DH got it from work, for the holidays. (Albertsons warehouse).
I think I may make some ham 'n cheese pasta tonight, for use the next few days. :)

Ever Heard of a "Diaper Cake"

I have had the best time lately... googling "diaper cakes" and I have almost completed my first one. I rolled 56 size 1 diapers around a bottle of baby shampoo. Then added ribbons, basket grass and a cake platter to sit it all on. I tied a bow from ribbon I found at the Dollar tree! Can't beat that price! Then I added bottles and rubber duckies, etc. This will be the table centerpiece at my friend baby shower on Saturday.
The quilt I had planned to make for the baby, is not turning out as my mind first pictured... so I will have to brave yet another shopping trip to purchase something. Oh darn, what will this girl do... Oh, of course hit starbucks for Coffee and Cocoa for me and my daughter first. LOL

My job?

UGH... my job is so stressing right now. I work for Michaels... and am possibly at the end of my job there. Yet, they keep giving us lines like "info. will come in February" & "decisions will be made in the next 30 days". I just wish they would let us know, what they know so far. Are they looking to end the class programs??? Are they continuing? But just changing come of the procedures...???????????????

I really enjoy the job. I like retail sales, I like crafts, I like merchandising items, and so much more. I love the hours and my schedule flexibility... and now... what will these changes mean to me and other Event Coordinators like me. Does the company even care about their employees??

Gotta have my Coca-Cola!!
